Tom Grayson, Founder and Executive Director of Golden Sierra Life Skills, has worked in the field of life skills and prevention education for 13 years. Mr. Grayson founded Golden Sierra Life Skills 11 years ago and it became a federally recognized Non-Profit 501 (c) 3 Corporation in May of 2003.
Mr. Grayson's philosophy is, ". . . I Give You My Broken Heart . . ." The belief of this program is that a man must be healthy to take on the role of father/father figure and maintain a stable, healthy, and strong family.
Mr. Grayson was awarded the Placer County Child Abuse Prevention Council "Putting Children First" award in the Education category for 2006.
Golden Sierra Life Skills has provided programs and training of trainers for:
United Auburn Indian School - Kids At Risk Education (Junior High School Boys Group) and Mentor Program Training
Nevada County Juvenile Justice Intervention Services - Kids In Need of Diversion/Kids At Risk Education
Brown's County, South Dakota Juvenile and Foster Care Services - Kids At Risk Education/Kids In Need of Diversion
In May of 2009 Golden Sierra Life Skills implemented the Male Ambassador Program in rural villages of Kenya, in Africa. Now the Men that attended the training have become peer educators and mentors for Men from other villages and the surrounding Community.
Additionally, Golden Sierra Life Skills has provided services for:

Golden Sierra Life Skills provides the following programs:
Kids at Risk Education (KARE) Program
Kids in Need of Diversion (KIND) Program
Men, Infants, and Children (MIC) Program (Funded by First 5 Placer Children & Families Commission)
Man-to-Man Parenting Program
Girls Night Out (GNO) /Ms. MIC Program
Court Approved Co-Parenting
Mentoring Programs
Golden Sierra Life Skills is the contract consultant/provider for KidZKount: Placer Community Action Council, Early Head Start/Head Start. Golden Sierra oversees the Male Involvement Program and has developed the successful School Site Male Ambassador Program which provides peer mentor trainings for volunteer School Site Male Ambassadors.
Additionally, Mr. Grayson provides consultant services for program development, program trainings, and training of trainers, and is available for motivational speaking engagements.
